So I quit drawing 9 years ago because my self esteem went down the crapper when I realized all my friends had way more skills than me. Recently I have been working through some fears of mine. I came to the conclusion that I stopped drawing because I was afraid that I sucked and would always be behind my peers. I remembered drawing is a lot of fun, and nobody's a pro when they start off. So here I am again, starting right where I left off. Slowly improving every time I draw. Progress takes time and effort. I'm starting with what I feel comfortable with: copying.
